Position Overview: The Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse is a pivotal role within the organization, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Management. This position is tasked with collaborating with leadership to design, execute, and assess clinical and operational enhancement initiatives that align with the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring the establishment of a High Reliability Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized knowledge in systems analysis and performance enhancement, focusing on risk mitigation and compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Utilize quality management methodologies and tools to scrutinize workflow processes, strategize and implement projects, and propose enhancements for clinical operational systems.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, driving the achievement of organizational goals and improving system performance through effective quality management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Vermont.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in interpreting and evaluating accreditation standards, is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in systems, quality, or healthcare administration is required.
  • Proven management capabilities with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Prior experience with Joint Commission or regulatory agency preparation, coordination, education, and surveys across various healthcare settings is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with electronic document management systems is a plus.

On-call Requirements: This position does not require on-call duties.
