GIS Data Specialist

We are seeking an experienced GIS Data Specialist to join our team at Colliers. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will involve working on a variety of projects, providing technical support, and utilizing your skills in GIS analysis and data management.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have a strong background in GIS, with experience working with Esri ArcGIS Pro, Esri ArcGIS Online, Collector, and Survey123. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and preparing GIS data into informative map product deliverables via hard copy map books sets and ArcGIS Online web maps.
You will also perform Esri desktop mapping and spatial analysis tasks using Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, finalize field data collection information from Esri field applications to final geodatabase and other project deliverables, and complete assignments in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy, completeness, quality, and thoroughness of results.
In addition, you will create geodatabase models, prepare and conduct GPS-based data collection field tasks through Esri ArcGIS field applications, gather, compile, migrate and convert data sets for project needs from a variety of internal and external sources, and evaluate data from multiple sources to determine the quality and ensure data is clean and accurate.
You will also research, update, and maintain numerous GIS datasets and templates, champion GIS solutions for the local office for both data collection and delivery, apply understanding of the definition, projection, and application of different coordinate systems for both vector and raster datasets in ArcGIS, and develop and implement quality control procedures on a vast array of datatypes.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography or related field with demonstrated coursework in GIS
- Esri Certifications and/or GISP a plus
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience working in the field of GIS
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro, Esri ArcGIS Online, Collector, and Survey123
- Experience in data conversion, data management, and GIS digitization and analysis
- Experience using python, arcade, VBScript, Jscript or SQL for minor formatting and query functions
- Demonstrated ability in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite
We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including company paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, a company-matched 401(k)/Roth, paid time off, employee referral and bonuses, and a straight time policy that compensates exempt employees for hours in excess of 42 within a work week.
