Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the operations of the Peptide Research Department, ensuring the delivery of superior quality results.
- Provide visionary leadership to the team by establishing clear objectives, inspiring and mentoring personnel, and managing the recruitment and training processes for new team members.
- Develop and design effective peptide compounds while addressing synthesis challenges associated with peptides and related entities.
- Facilitate coordination of peptide-related initiatives among medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, and computational chemistry teams across various global locations.
- Lead comprehensive service projects centered on peptides for clients, leveraging in-house capabilities.
- Compile and present detailed reports and recommendations derived from research outcomes.
- Guide the team in pioneering innovative chemical technologies and methodologies pertinent to peptide drug research.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated success in drug discovery, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, patent submissions, and/or IND filings.
- Robust management capabilities, encompassing strategic planning, budget formulation, conflict resolution, and team development.
- Strategic decision-making aptitude, with the capacity to evaluate the costs and benefits of various approaches and select the most effective strategies.
- Inventiveness in producing innovative ideas and solutions to intricate scientific or operational challenges.
Educational Background:
- PhD or Master's degree in Peptide Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research sectors.
