About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate I to join our team at the Georgia Health Policy Center. As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of research projects, as well as provide administrative support to our senior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation to address health-related problems and publish results in professional conferences and peer-reviewed journals.
  • Provide administrative and research assistance to existing contracts and grants, including drafting reports, abstracts, briefing papers, literature reviews, presentations, and other research-related communications.
  • Facilitate group meetings and coordinate special projects as assigned by senior staff.
  • Assist senior staff in identifying and responding to new research and funding opportunities.
  • Provide data-informed technical assistance to partners to support decision-making, capacity-building, and sustainability at the practice, programming, and policy levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytic skills, writing and reporting skills, presentation skills, group facilitation skills, and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of research and evaluation techniques, methodologies, equipment, processes, and procedures, as well as skills and experience with data collection, automated systems, and software.
  • Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and exhibit excellent customer service abilities, effective time management and organizational skills, and an innovative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general health policy and qualitative and quantitative research, experience in survey administration, data analysis of multiple programmatic data sources, and working with a variety of state and community partners.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, professional working proficiency in English, and proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Arabic.
