The Ymca of Greater Omaha offers a rewarding career opportunity as an Aquatic Safety Professional, supporting the work of a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This position creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and promotes safety in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

As an Aquatic Safety Professional, you will maintain active surveillance of the pool area, enforce all pool rules and regulations promptly and professionally, and respond to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. You will also identify and celebrate the successes of members and program participants, and actively participate in department and branch meetings and/or trainings.

We are looking for candidates who are at least 15 years of age, able to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness, and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards. Current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent certification and BLS, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration (provided by YMCA, if needed) are also required.
