We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Surgical Specialist to join our team as a locum tenens provider at a top-ranked hospital in Portland, OR. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented Physician Assistant to work alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the Opportunity:
This locum tenens assignment offers a unique chance to gain experience in a fast-paced surgical environment while enjoying a great work-life balance. Our client values teamwork and collaboration, and we are looking for a dedicated professional who shares these principles.
Job Highlights:
- Competitive estimated salary range: $135,000 - $160,000 per year, based on industry standards and cost of living in Portland
- Schedule: 7a-3p, 7a-5p, 11a-7p (Monday-Friday), with weekend coverage (7a-3p) on a rotational basis
- Clinical and call responsibilities, with 24-hour call schedule and response time of 30 minutes
- Patient demographics: 90% adults, 10% pediatrics; patient volume: 7+ (outpatient), 5+ (inpatient); admission rate: 2+
- Hospital has lab, ultrasound, and X-ray on site, with Epic EMR system
- Benefits include travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance coverage
Requirements:
- Active OR license
- BC certification
- DEA certification
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care surgery experience
