Job Overview

The Dental Surgery Support Specialist will provide crucial assistance to the surgical team at HEAD & NECK SURGICAL ASSOCIATE. This role requires a high level of organization, communication skills, and ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental office and be certified in CPR, X-ray technology, and dental assisting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Escort patients from the waiting room to procedure rooms and prepare them for surgery.
  • Notify the physician when the patient is ready and review their health history, vital signs, and x-rays.
  • Stock and prepare procedure rooms with necessary equipment.
  • Assist the surgeon during medical and dental procedures.
  • Support patient recovery after surgery and escort them to their ride's car.
  • Perform patient education when necessary.

Requirements
  • ">
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • X-ray certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Dental assistant certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental office.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems.
  • Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 30 pounds.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year.

Work Environment
This position involves frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
