About the Role

The Mammographer Quality Control Stereo Tech is a vital member of our team at Riverside Health System. This role is responsible for performing mammography and stereotactic exams on patients as requested by referring physicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mammography and stereotactic procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure patient comfort and understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Completes mammographic imaging studies and presents them for diagnosis, producing high-quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures.
Performs with a high degree of safety and quality, preventing or reducing harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, and protocols using safety behaviors.
Coordinates patient care, performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation, and monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards, reporting variances as necessary.
Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoots, and ensures equipment functionality.

Requirements

Mammography experience is preferred.
Must hold Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography (M) certification upon hire.
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) is required upon hire.
