Job Title: Medical Records Technician

We are seeking highly skilled Medical Records Technicians to join our team at STGi, a leading provider of healthcare services. As a Medical Records Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, update, and maintain medical records for each patient, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Maintain appointment systems for patients and clinical staff, tracking compliance with scheduled appointments and making timely reminders as needed.
  • Determine coding for relevant medical record forms from appropriate references.
  • File and scan laboratory, radiology, and other reports in the electronic medical record within prescribed timeframes.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting as a medical record technician, medical record clerk, unit secretary, or similar position.
  • Ability to pass a federal government security background check.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to walk unaided for up to 10 minutes and maintain balance.
  • Ability to respond to medical emergencies within 4 minutes, requiring fast walking or jogging.
  • Ability to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds.
