School Nurse Specialist

The Brownsville ISD seeks a qualified School Nurse Specialist to support the health and well-being of students in our school district. This is a unique opportunity to join a team dedicated to providing high-quality educational services.
About the Role:
This position involves assisting in the planning and execution of a comprehensive health program for the school district, which aims to enable students to maintain optimal educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong nursing skills and experience working with children.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and implementing a health program for the school district
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to ensure student health and well-being
• Conduct health assessments and provide guidance on health-related issues
• Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy behaviors and practices
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (College Transcripts)
• Current certificate to practice nursing as a registered nurse, as per Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
