**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Nurse to join our team at Brownsville Independent School District. As a Vocational Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct care to students, administering medication, and implementing mandatory screening programs.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires a Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to students, utilizing school health protocols and care plans established by the school nurse.
  • Administer medication to students according to board policy and district procedures.
  • Implement mandatory screening programs and complete required reports.
  • Collaborate with campus principal, school counselor, teachers, parents, food service, and other staff regarding the health needs of the general population and those students with identified health conditions.

Requirements:

  • Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.

Salary:** $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
