Job Title: Senior Architect

At DataSF, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team. As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in leading and managing complex engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise the design of complex engineering/architecture/landscape architecture projects.
  • Interview, select, train, monitor, and evaluate departmental staff and consultants.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the administration and management of contracts.
  • Direct, supervise, and review the preparation of complex construction contract and construction documents.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, procedures, and administrative directives.
  • Manage projects, direct, review, and supervise the review of shop drawings by contractors.
  • Supervise field inspection staff, coordinate all activities between a unit and other groups, and consult with technical staff.
  • Conduct meetings and represent the City.
  • Write and/or review and approve documents.
Requirements:
  • Eight (8) years of verifiable professional architecture work experience, of which four (4) years must be as a licensed Professional Architect.
  • Two (2) of the eight (8) years must be equivalent to the City and County of San Francisco class 5268 Architect.
  • Possession of a current Certificate of Registration as a Professional Architect in the State of California.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master's Degree in Architecture may substitute for 1 (one) year of work experience.
  • A Ph.D. in Architecture may substitute for 2 (two) years of work experience.
Working Conditions:

Some positions may require specific lifting up to 50 pounds; climbing ladders; working in high places and confined spaces; exposure to various weather conditions and outdoors; bending, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time and over uneven surfaces.
