About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacist will optimize patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information. This role will work under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize patient care through appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care
  • Provide drug information and support to healthcare teams
  • Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff
  • Work under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager

Requirements

  • B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
  • Other applicable state requirements – i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
  • BLS & ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
  • 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
