CNC Machinist Job Summary

Celebrating over 75 years in operation, our award-winning commercial construction client is seeking a CNC Machinist with a strong desire to apply their knowledge, learn new skills, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working with CNC machines, possess strong attention to detail, and be committed to workplace safety.

Under minimal supervision, this individual will set up and operate CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to cut, bend, and drill steel used for fabrication projects.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities

Ability to competently operate most of the equipment in an operational area, performing with accuracy, consistency, and with minimal supervision and rework.

Perform effectively as a trainer and mentor to junior employees.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
Utilize applicable tools and equipment relevant to operating the machine.
Practice and promote Safety and Housekeeping.
CNC Machinist Skills and Qualities

Program CNC equipment
Operate CNC equipment
Working knowledge of basic lifting and rigging techniques.
Ability to identify needed material
Accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
