CNC Machinist

Elwood Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Lubbock, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and control computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts.
• Maintain knowledge of G & M codes and input them into CNC machines for production.
• Set up, operate, and maintain lathes and perform various tasks with them.
• Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment and perform inspections to ensure quality.
• Identify problems before production runs and adjust machine controls or control media as required.

Requirements:

• Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines.
• Operate, perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs utilizing CNC Machines.
• Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
• Applicant may be subject to a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
