Job Summary

Covenant Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Room. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and evaluates care outcomes.
  • Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision.
  • Introduces new employees/students to unit routines and participates on unit-based committees.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills, including appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
  • Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards, and completes required education assignments annually.
Qualifications
  • Valid Tennessee RN license.
  • CPR required.
  • New graduate, within first (1) year of orientation.
