Sr. Java/WebSphere Developer

Join C4 Technical Services as a Senior Java/WebSphere Developer and take on the challenge of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge IT solutions.

Job Summary

As a Senior Java/WebSphere Developer, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions. You will work closely with the team to document detailed system specifications, participate in unit testing, and maintain planned and unplanned internally developed applications. Your expertise will be utilized to evaluate and performance test purchased products, plan, develop, test, and document systems and applications applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT solutions using Java and WebSphere technologies
  • Design and document system specifications, participate in unit testing, and maintain applications
  • Evaluate and performance test purchased products
  • Plan, develop, test, and document systems and applications
  • Lead efforts, oversee work results, provide training, and serve as a technical resource for other Developers
Requirements
  • Experience with release procedures, coding design, and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures
  • Proficiency using versioning tools: GIT, etc
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible team player
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance
  • Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle
  • Proficiency programming in more than one object-oriented programming language; JAVA, JavaScript
Education and Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years relational database experience
  • 5+ years related work experience, Professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry
