Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Obstetrics and Gynecology at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality nursing services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to obstetric and gynecological patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and safety.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills in the provision of patient care, and mentoring junior staff members to achieve their full potential.
  • Stay current with advances in obstetric and gynecological nursing, applying knowledge and skills to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher degree, or equivalent experience and education.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in obstetric and gynecological nursing, with a strong background in leadership and education.
  • Specialty certification in obstetric and gynecological nursing, or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
