Job Title: RN- OB Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology team at WVU Medicine. As a RN- OB Services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The RN- OB Services will be responsible for providing direct patient care to obstetric and gynecological patients, including prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to obstetric and gynecological patients, including prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on various aspects of obstetric and gynecological care.
Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Nursing with 4 years of experience, or
  • nurses with a BSN with 4 years of experience and a health-related Master's Degree, or
  • nurses with a BSN and 5 years of experience.
  • Specialty Certification in applicable discipline.
  • Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses, or appropriate state board where services will be provided, as a registered professional nurse.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
