Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Medical Registration Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the processing of clean claims and delivering premier customer service.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a business service setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under stressful situations. They will also be proficient in using scripting to review Conditions of Admission (COA) and secure patient signatures on address attestations.

In this role, you will:

  • Collections: Follow department guidelines for providing patients with estimate letters, requesting payment of copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket amounts, and negotiating with patients who are unable to pay.
  • Customer Service: Use AIDET and key words at key times, adapt and protect patient privacy, practice good interpersonal and communication skills, and negotiate with others to resolve conflicts.
  • Patient Registration: Authenticate and enroll patients, populate demographic screens, update regulatory fields, and secure patient signatures on address attestations.

This position requires knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing and collections guidelines, local, state, and federal regulations governing registration and billing activities, ICD-10, CPT, and RVS coding, and Medicare Important Message, Medicare Secondary Payor, Tricare Third Party Liability, Auto Accident and Work Comp, and Medicare/Outpatient Observation Notice.
