Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the setup of meeting and banquet facilities, ensuring that all requirements are met and exceeded.
  • Communicate effectively with meeting planners, guests, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Inspect function rooms prior to and during breaks to ensure that all requirements are met and hotel standards are maintained.
  • Assign specific duties to each banquet houseman and ensure that uniforms and personal hygiene requirements are met.
  • Conduct monthly MOS audits and plan and conduct monthly all-in meetings to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates and complete inventory of equipment and supplies to maintain pars.
Requirements:
  • Leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Extensive verbal and basic written skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations involving monetary units.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Able to remain calm, organized, and diplomatic under pressure.
  • Able to apply common sense and carry out instructions furnished.
  • Basic computer skills.
Physical Job Requirements:
  • Able to extend arms, hands, and able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with the hand.
  • Able to walk, stand, and drive to a significant degree.
  • Able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds frequently, and/or 1-25 pounds constantly to move objects.
  • Able to hear and communicate clearly.
  • Have a clear vision of 20 inches or less and be able to distinguish colors.
  • Able to work in an outdoor environment to include fluctuating temperatures, inclement weather, vapors, and exhaust unique to the hospitality industry.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and drive/ride to a significant degree or significant number of hours.
  • Able to work quickly in a high-pressure environment, keeping a calm and polite attitude.
  • Be flexible to schedule changes.
