As a RN, Surgery/OR Specialist, you will be responsible for performing plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. You will also be responsible for documenting patient care given, monitoring and recording patient condition, and communicating with the care team, physician, patient, and family.
You will assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. You will also collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
You will evaluate learning needs of patients and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. You will work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Requirements- Associate's degree - Required
- Bachelor's degree - Preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), PALS, and Handle with Care
- Licenses: RN in the state of Kentucky
