Job Summary

PennState Health seeks a skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative environment.

About the Role

The Staff Nurse, RN, is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of patients. You will establish goals and priorities of nursing care, develop a written plan of nursing care, and collaborate with medical staff in matters of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized patient care based on assessment data and established nursing interventions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Curently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period.
