Key Responsibilities...
  • Collaborate as a Team Member: Work alongside fellow associates to build a cohesive deli team; communicate effectively with team members; and adapt to the business's needs by assisting in other areas as required.
  • Demonstrate Expertise: Exhibit knowledge of operations on the sales floor, backroom processes, product safety standards, sanitation protocols, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment; preparing (for instance, slicing, grinding, wrapping, trimming) deli products according to established guidelines; maintaining product quality standards.
  • Utilize Technology: Employ digital tools to enhance sales, improve the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement; using handheld devices to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member's needs in mind; adapting to new technologies and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Take Ownership: Commit to operational excellence by maintaining the work area in accordance with company policies and procedures; ensuring quality and date control standards for deli products; managing fragile and high-shrink merchandise; minimizing waste; assisting members with purchasing decisions; and ensuring products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored per company guidelines.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the deli area and modeling high-quality service and products; executing the basics at the highest possible level of quality; and demonstrating energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by leveraging policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, challenges, and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00*

*The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be available, ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific tasks performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
