Job Description

The Financial Controller for Loan Fund Accounting is a key member of the Finance Department at Enterprise Community Partners. This role is responsible for coordinating the operations of the Loan Fund Accounting area, which provides accounting and finance functions for Enterprise Community Loan Fund.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise loan servicing accounting, including cash receipts and disbursements processing, month end closing, invoice preparation, and the recoverable grants reporting process.
  • Coordinate the design and administration of loans receivable programs, including initial set up, ongoing maintenance, and the preparation of various reports for internal staff and external parties.
  • Support the maintenance of loans payable, including coordination with Capital Management as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for the loan servicing software and assist with updates, problem resolution, changes, and enhancements.
  • Prepare and post various monthly journal entries and corresponding detailed support.
  • Prepare the monthly financial reporting package, including a review of actual results for accuracy and explanations of variances to budget.
  • Prepare various quarterly reports for internal management and external parties.
  • Participate in annual reporting, including preparation of the audited financial statements, additional specific formats for outside parties, and tax filings.
  • Drive for efficiencies throughout the Loan Fund Accounting area, embracing technology and looking for ways to automate processes and cross train employees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent is required, CPA is preferred.
  • 8-10 years accounting experience is preferred, some public accounting experience is a plus.
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience is required
  • Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess strong financial, analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills, and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
