Position Title: Family Therapist

The Family Therapist is integral in performing mental health evaluations and providing therapeutic services to young individuals. Utilizing the FFT-CW methodology, the Therapist assesses and documents the mental health status and development of the youth in the program. This role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to create and execute customized treatment strategies.

Key responsibilities encompass maintaining therapy sessions tailored to the needs of the youth, working alongside the administrative team, and managing a caseload of 10-12 families simultaneously. The Therapist must be adaptable to work a flexible schedule to accommodate in-person client meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mental health evaluations and deliver continuous therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide crisis management services and assess for potential issues.
  • Implement treatment strategies to effectively address youth behaviors.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs.
  • Employ the FFT-CW phases to meet treatment objectives.
  • Collaborate with family members and community organizations for comprehensive care.
  • Engage in case planning and assessment with team support.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong active listening capabilities.
  • Empathetic and positive demeanor with outstanding relationship-building abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
Educational Background & Experience:
  • Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in child protection services is beneficial.
  • Independent licensure is preferred but not mandatory.

The annual salary range for this role is $63,000 USD.
