Job Summary

The Psychiatric Technician is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and adolescents experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and individualized care, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assist patients in managing their mental health symptoms, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting positive outcomes and empowering patients to achieve their full potential.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting healthy coping mechanisms and strategies for managing mental health challenges.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based treatments in child and adolescent psychiatric care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on pediatric populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
