About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at Acuity Brands. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth and improving efficiency in our high-volume manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all functions of a focused factory, including New Product Introduction, EQDCI, In-sourcing, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, Employee Performance, and Supply Chain Performance.
  • Partner with the Value Stream Leader to drive profitable growth for the Value Stream.
  • Support a large Focus Factory or Focus Factory with high volume and low mix.

Requirements

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably high volume.
  • Experience with P&L preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience leading a diverse team of salaried professionals and hourly operators.
  • Proven leadership skills and accomplishments developing a team.
  • Management skills (people and projects).
  • Experience in problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with Lean principles and exposure to Kaizen and continuous improvement events is helpful.
  • High degree of comfort with computer usage and ability to analyze and present data.
  • High school diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Medium work.

Travel Requirements

  • 1-20%.
