Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician II to join our team at The Structures Company. This role is responsible for providing technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and electrical systems, with a minimum of four years of experience in the field. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC, and NCATT certifications are preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality.
  • Filling in for the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician as needed.
  • Ensuring quality and efficiency of all installations, including troubleshooting processes and concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  • Repairing or replacing defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
  • Setting up and operating necessary test equipment.
  • Conducting functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  • Ensuring that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.
  • Testing and maintaining test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
  • Complying with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
