We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill the role of Custodial Maintenance and Lawn Care Assistants for the summer season. This position is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all within our educational facilities.
About Us:
Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 is dedicated to serving a diverse student population of nearly 17,000 across various educational levels. Our mission is to foster an engaging and supportive learning atmosphere that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Support custodial personnel with routine cleaning activities, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, and communal areas.
2) Undertake lawn care responsibilities such as mowing, trimming, and caring for outdoor facilities.
3) Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
4) Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties on school grounds.
Qualifications:
1) Dependable and punctual.
2) Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
3) Basic understanding of custodial and landscaping practices.
4) Eagerness to learn and follow directions.
5) Must possess the physical capability to perform tasks that include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements:
1) Valid driver's license may be necessary for certain lawn care responsibilities.
2) Previous experience in custodial or landscaping roles is advantageous but not essential.
Work Schedule:
This is a seasonal role during the summer months, with specific working hours to be determined.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is $14.00.
