Catholic Charities Seeks Experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a seasoned major gifts fundraiser to join our team. As a key player in our Major Gifts department, you will be responsible for cultivating and soliciting major gifts from donors, with a focus on securing gifts of $10,000 and above.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, developing and implementing a written donor strategy and relationship record.
  • Communicate with portfolio through face-to-face cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship meetings, as well as written strategies.
  • Develop solicitation strategies for donors and prospects in support of our annual fund, planned giving, and growth campaigns.
  • Support the fundraising efforts of our Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Director in securing new and renewed gifts.
  • Work with our Vice President of Principal Giving to create and manage organizational budgets, tracking and reporting on progress to goal.
Requirements:
  • Five years of direct or equivalent experience managing high-level donor relationships with demonstrated success in closing gifts of $5,000 and above.
  • Master's degree preferred, but a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience will be considered.
