Vaco is seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to provide assistance to clients using various customer-facing applications. In this role, you will handle incidents escalated from the initial IT support team and manage application-specific service requests.

Your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing issues and either resolving them directly or overseeing their resolution within established service levels. We are looking for candidates with prior experience in application support and a proven track record of managing a high volume of tickets (approximately 15-20 per day). Proficiency in SQL is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application-related issues while fulfilling service requests for both standard and custom offerings.
  • Prioritize tasks to minimize business disruption and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain application security and functionality through temporary fixes and workarounds.
  • Update the knowledge base to aid in the resolution of common issues.
  • Communicate new issues to relevant stakeholders promptly and clearly.
  • Process after-hours data modifications on production systems.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management methodologies and tools.
  • Previous experience supporting enterprise-level applications in a virtual environment across various technology platforms.
  • Ability to write SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
