Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Grants Coordinator to join our team at St. John's Community Health. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of grants management, ensuring timely compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This includes managing and reviewing all financial grant reporting, creating and maintaining a grant summary for each grant, and coordinating receipt of award and contract documentation related to grant/award budgets with Development.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. About the Role

As a Senior Financial Grants Coordinator, you will be responsible for participating in the formation and updates of grant procedures and policies, investigating and resolving issues relating to grant management, and providing analytical guidance and training on budgets and compliance to program staff. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Monitoring grant budget to actual expense variances and meeting program directors/managers monthly to obtain status update and provide recommendations for modification to optimize grant spend out.
  2. Tracking grants with delayed invoicing, grants ending and impact on operations, grants in deficit mode to Executive Team.
  3. Ensuring that grant/contract funding is allocated and expended appropriately.


Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or equivalent, with 6-8 years of related experience, including finance, and 2-4 years of supervision experience. A CPA certification is preferred. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
