Position Summary:
- Repair and install existing machinery while assisting Engineering in transitioning equipment to production.
- Design and execute enhancements to tooling, mechanization, and automation equipment to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Support facility expansion projects.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for factory automation and facility initiatives.
- Identify and address recurring equipment failures and inefficiencies.
- Adhere to and enforce all quality, personnel, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management that align with this role.
- Conform to the Quality Management System requirements.
- Understand the impact of your role on quality policies and objectives.
- Follow purchasing protocols when creating requisitions.
- Comply with ESD area requirements.
- Submit repair requests to maintenance for non-operational equipment.
- Properly label equipment that is out of service or for limited use.
- Abide by safety, environmental, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by your supervisor related to this position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role or industry.
- Experience in project coordination and oversight.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong logical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Safe and proficient use of hand, power, and machine shop tools.
- Proficient in MS Windows and Office Suite applications.
- Solid organizational and planning capabilities.
- Basic math skills including operations with fractions and conversions.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Experience with PLC programming and ladder logic is advantageous.
- Software programming skills in C++, Visual Basic, or similar languages for machine control are beneficial.
- Valid and insurable class C driver's license with proof of insurance.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Other desirable traits include adaptability, innovation, diligence, and a strong safety consciousness.
