Job Title: Prototype Tool Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prototype Tool Designer to join our team at Injection Mold Incorporated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop prototype tools for new products or improvements on existing products.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to understand project requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Create detailed drawings and models using CAD software.
  • Build prototypes to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Analyze and make necessary adjustments to improve performance.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure prototypes can be produced efficiently.
  • Document and track progress, costs, and timelines of prototype projects.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in prototype tool design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Unigraphics/NX.
  • Strong understanding of materials, machining processes, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
