Curtis Instruments is seeking a highly skilled Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our team. As a Senior PCB Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative PCBs that meet the company's product realization needs.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop high-quality PCB designs that are innovative, cost-effective, and meet stakeholder requirements.
- Altium Designer Expertise: Utilize Altium Designer to perform design creation, analysis, and verification tasks.
- Documentation and Drawings: Prepare accurate detail and assembly drawings, as well as provide documentation for PCB manufacturing.
- BOM Management: Generate and maintain accurate PCB-related BOMs from schematics in our ERP system.
- Process Improvement: Lead the evaluation and improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure best practices are used throughout the PCB group and design center.
- Library Management: Manage updates and creation of library components, as well as related policies and procedures.
- ECN Implementation: Issue and implement ECNs in our SL ECN Module, ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with people at all levels within the organization and with external customers.
- Tool Support: Provide expert support to local design centers and business units for tools, processes, and capabilities for PCB Design.
- Experience: Ten plus years of experience as a PCB designer.
- Altium Designer Expertise: Four plus years of experience with Altium Designer, with experience with PADS SW a plus.
- PCB Fabrication Knowledge: Thorough understanding of PCB fabrication processes, tolerances, and IPC standards.
- ESD Principles: Knowledge of ESD principles and practices, with analog design experience a plus.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy and Organization: Accuracy and good organizational skills.
