As a Member Experience Associate at the JCC of Stamford, you will be the face of our organization, interacting with members, non-members, and staff in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner. Your primary goal will be to maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that all interactions represent the absolute best experience possible.
Key Qualifications:
• Create a positive welcoming environment for all who enter our doors
• Provide exceptional customer service to members, non-members, and staff
• Check-in members, program participants, and guests using JCC procedures
• Provide information regarding membership, policies, and procedures, program events, and classes
• Answer phones politely and professionally, redirecting calls to the appropriate staff and helping members find solutions directly whenever possible
• Use JCC membership software to process financial transactions, enter new members, and make changes to member accounts
• Take reservations for group exercise classes and sports courts
• Maintain a clean and organized welcome desk
• Report maintenance and facilities requests to the appropriate staff
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner and represent the JCC in a positive light at all times
Requirements:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to providing quality customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to learn the JCC's membership software
• Good typing skills and accurate data entry
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks
• Detail-oriented and dependable
• Flexible schedule, including some weekend work
• Positive, warm, friendly, and personable attitude
• Good oral and written communication skills
• High school graduate or some college
• Minimum of two years of customer service or related experience
