Radiologic Technologist Job Description

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is a leading cancer research and treatment center seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and/or assist with radiographic, DEXA exams, fluoroscopic, and angiographic procedures according to department procedure manual.
  • Manage electronic data, process information, and review exams for proper positioning, technique, identification, and record required information.
  • Instruct radiology students and/or new staff according to clinical and department requirements.
  • Perform visual maintenance and quality controls checks, record and report results to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate and schedule examinations, and initiate intravenous access for the administration of contrast and/or radio pharmaceutical isotopes.

Requirements:

  • Degree or program that provides eligibility to attain certification or licensure.
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • ARRT radiology certification or acquire within 12 months of employment.
  • Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent course).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in email and word processing systems.
  • One year of radiology technologist experience preferred.
