Role Summary: As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of the Press Brake Machine, ensuring high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently set up and operate the Amada Press Brake Machine.
  • Ensure appropriate tooling and fixturing while accurately reporting operation times.
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and team members to resolve issues.
  • Work within precise tolerances of +-.005" in sheet metal up to 1⁄4" thick.
  • Perform both single and multiple setups on the press brake.
  • Program and form parts using blueprints while adhering to designated tolerances.
  • Utilize dial/digital calipers, protractors, and height gauges for inspection measurements.
  • Work with various materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper.
  • Study and follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, job travelers, and facility procedures.
  • Maintain organization of products, equipment, tools, and inventory within the fabrication area.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or precise measurements.
  • Report any assembly, equipment, material, or quality issues to management.
  • Complete preventive maintenance as per schedule and instructions.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to PPE procedures and regulations.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks or rotating through different processes as required.
  • Operate in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Press Brake Operator.
  • Recent experience with setup and operation of press brakes, particularly Amada press brakes.
  • Experience with deburring machines, turret punch presses, shears, and Haegers is advantageous.
  • Ability to read blueprints and utilize dial & digital calipers and height gauges.
  • Capable of forming parts within tight tolerances of +-.005".
  • Experience programming dimensions from blueprints is preferred.
  • Familiarity with aluminum, steel, and stainless materials is essential.
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical mindset.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Compensation: Hourly wage ranges from $22 to $26.
