Position Overview: As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of the Press Brake Machine, playing a crucial role in our manufacturing process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Independently set up and operate the Amada Press Brake Machine.
- Ensure the correct tooling and fixturing while accurately reporting operation times.
- Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Work within tight tolerances of +-.005" on sheet metal up to 1⁄4" thick.
- Perform both single and multiple setups on the press brake.
- Program and form parts using blueprints while adhering to designated tolerances.
- Record inspection measurements utilizing dial/digital calipers, protractors, and height gauges.
- Work with various materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper.
- Study and follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, job travelers, and parts lists.
- Maintain an organized workspace, including product, equipment, tools, and inventory points.
- Position parts and subassemblies accurately using templates or measurements.
- Report any assembly, equipment, material, or quality issues to management for guidance.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks as per schedule.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to PPE procedures and regulations.
- Document actions by filling out production and quality forms.
- Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks or rotating through different processes as needed.
- Operate in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience operating Press Brakes.
- Recent experience with setup and operation of press brakes, particularly Amada models.
- Familiarity with Deburr machines, Turret Punch Presses, Shears, and Haegers is advantageous.
- Ability to perform single and multiple setups on one press brake.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using dial & digital calipers and height gauges.
- Able to form parts within tight tolerances of +-.005".
- Experience programming dimensions from blueprints is preferred.
- Must have worked with aluminum, steel, and stainless materials.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Compensation: Hourly wage ranges from $22 to $26.
