Pharmacy Operations Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for managing and supervising pharmacy operations, formulating and implementing institutional policy and practice, and overseeing day-to-day operations and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise pharmacy operations, including formulating and implementing institutional policy and practice
  • Assist in the planning, development, organization, operation, and evaluation of pharmacy services
  • Assure compliance with pharmacy laws and provide staff guidance on regulatory agencies
  • Assist with budget preparation and ongoing cost containment initiatives for medication use and operations
  • Direct the preparation of written or oral reports at shift change to communicate incomplete assignments and potential patient safety concerns
Requirements:
  • B.S. or PharmD. Degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy is required
  • 4 years' experience as a hospital pharmacist required
  • ASHP accredited residency or advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS) is preferred
  • Applicable State Pharmacy License Required
  • Consultant License (if applicable per state) Required
