The listed pay represents the hourly range or rate for this role. The specific offer will depend on the candidate's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Retirement Plan: You will be eligible to make personal contributions starting the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Eligibility for the company match begins the first of the month after six months of employment. The company matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions dollar for dollar for the first 3%. For the next 2%, the company contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Both your contributions and the match are immediately vested.

Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Lead plays a crucial role in assisting with various maintenance initiatives, including the operation, upkeep, and inspection of facility equipment in accordance with established standards. Regular inspections are conducted, and findings are reported with recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise engineering personnel under the guidance of the Chief Engineer.
  • Administer preventive maintenance and operational work orders while ensuring quality assurance inspections are performed.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to report on status and findings, and recommend program improvements as necessary.
  • Provide hands-on and classroom training for engineering staff, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • Manage inventory levels for all engineering equipment and parts.
  • Schedule activities for Stationary Engineers, inspect completed work, and evaluate work orders to prioritize tasks.
  • Communicate any changes in work order schedules to requestors and provide regular updates to the Chief Engineer regarding delays.
  • Prepare labor and material purchase requisitions for approval.
  • Maintain a self-improvement program and stay informed about new equipment, standards, codes, and emergency response procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety practices and maintain a professional work environment.
  • Develop and update the preventive maintenance program to align with industry standards and specific site requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience relevant to the specific facility for the role of Facilities Maintenance Lead.
  • Strong skills in employee relations, coaching, and training.
  • Possession of the highest-level relevant state/local license for stationary engineering and/or HVAC, along with a universal level refrigerant recovery license.
  • Completion of BOMA accredited courses is desirable.
  • Preferred certifications include High-rise Fire Safety Director, Haz-Mat Certification, Indoor Air Quality Certification, and LEED Certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Required computer skills and experience with building automation systems.
  • Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as needed.
  • Working knowledge of energy conservation is required; formal training is preferred.
