Position Overview
As an integral part of the team at Consolidated Asset Management Services, the Asset Manager Associate will be responsible for a variety of key functions that support the operational and financial objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and execution of an annual operational budget and strategic business plan that aligns with ownership goals, while diligently tracking financial performance and operational variances, including maintenance schedules and revenue forecasts.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of financial agreements, including loans, technical service contracts, and commercial leases, ensuring adherence to all reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Stay informed about wholesale market dynamics and relevant RTO/ISO protocols to support informed decision-making.
  • Learn to monitor and evaluate key performance indicators, providing insightful reports to stakeholders.
  • Foster and manage relationships with various project stakeholders, including landowners, electricity purchasers, lenders, and project partners, ensuring effective communication regarding financial performance and operational issues.
  • Develop and manage Excel models for budgeting, invoicing, and financial analysis of project opportunities.
  • Participate in securing insurance coverage and managing claims related to equipment damage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, engineering, and finance professionals, to:
    • Support the restructuring or refinancing of loan agreements
    • Resolve commercial disputes
    • Address regulatory matters
    • Analyze capital investments to optimize project performance
  • Work closely with Plant Managers and operational staff to ensure the effective execution of budgets and address technical challenges while promoting an understanding of the commercial implications of plant operations.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, preferably with a technical or business focus; an MBA is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience in the wholesale energy market is a plus.
  • Familiarity with power plant operations, safety regulations, and financial assessment is beneficial.
