Job Title: Associate, Investment Banking, Energy

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate to join our Investment Banking team in Energy. As an Associate, you will be responsible for preparing client presentations, financial modeling, and mentoring/supervising Analysts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze the financial needs of corporate clients, including the development of financial models, supporting the team in determining advisory and financing solutions for our clients
  • Collect, consolidate, and interpret company and industry data
  • Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis and create and maintain models
  • Financial and written analysis of companies and industries
  • Identify and develop business opportunities with clients
  • Prepare client presentations, including compiling data and assembling presentation materials
  • Support transaction structuring and execution efforts, with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over time
  • Apply product and capital markets knowledge to help clients achieve their financial objectives
  • Develop more junior bankers on their team and across CIB and GBM through active engagement on developing their skills (technical, coverage, and other leadership skills) providing real-time positive and constructive feedback to support their development
Requirements:
  • 2-5+ years' work experience in Investment Banking, Equity Research or in a corporate finance role at an industry player
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Economics, Science or other quantitative or STEM subject
  • Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with the full Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Obtain and maintain required FINRA registration and licensing appropriate to your functions and responsibilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining high work standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new situations and short deadlines
  • Independent thinker and proven ability to take initiative and make decisions
  • Flexible to demands of work and viewed as a valuable team resource
  • A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts
