The Head of Supply Chain Operations will be pivotal in driving the success and expansion of our organization through strategic procurement initiatives and effective supplier relationship management. Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute strategic procurement plans that align with corporate goals and financial parameters.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms regarding pricing, delivery timelines, quality standards, and payment conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments, including operations, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure procurement activities meet business requirements.
  • Establish and nurture supplier relationships to enhance collaboration, resolve performance issues, and promote continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery.

  • Identify and implement strategies for cost reduction, process enhancement, and risk management within the supply chain.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting procurement practices.

  • Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes, such as adopting lean methodologies and technology solutions to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Assess potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Promote supplier diversity and sustainable procurement practices.
  • Oversee the development and performance management of direct reports, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on talent development and performance assessment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes in complex agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in business software and tools, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement and supplier management.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in a relevant industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Certifications in procurement or supply chain management are advantageous.
