Job Title: Rehabilitation Manager

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Manager to lead our therapy program in a long-term care facility in Wichita, Kansas.

Job Summary:

The Rehabilitation Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, management, and vision to ensure the therapy program operates effectively and efficiently. This includes recruiting and retaining rehab service personnel, promoting positive employee relations, and conducting performance appraisals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clinical caseload and provide treatment to patients as needed.
  • Recruit and retain rehab service personnel, including therapists and rehabilitation technicians.
  • Promote positive employee relations by facilitating open communication and problem-solving.
  • Conduct performance appraisals of rehab personnel and monitor compliance with personnel standards.
  • Investigate and resolve staff, service, and patient-related issues.
  • Ensure program standards are met, including CARF, SNF, and JCAHO standards.
  • Develop strategies to increase facility therapy program revenue.
  • Lead marketing efforts with local hospitals, physicians, and community to increase awareness of the therapy program.
  • Provide leadership to and directly manage clinical therapy staff, facilitating a team atmosphere.
  • Perform active involvement in the recruiting and hiring process, attend events, and interview candidates as needed.
  • Ensure clinical staff provides proper documentation according to Medicare guidelines, company policy, and facility standards.
  • Represent the ethical standards of the company and identify/report instances of poor patient care.
  • Oversee patient and therapist scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for therapy minutes.
  • Track Assessment Period Data and communicate data to facility personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Current license in the state(s) assigned.
  • Minimum of 3 years of rehabilitation experience.
  • MDS certification (RAC-CT) or other advanced certification preferred.
  • Proven leadership and program development/supervisory experience, including multi-site management experience.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and therapy practice act legislation/law and accreditation standards.
  • Interdisciplinary management and understanding essential.

This job operates in a professional healthcare environment, requiring the ability to lift 50-100 pounds, use proper body mechanics, and climb stairs.

Travel:

This position requires up to 10% travel, including occasional overnight stays.
