Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate physician and technician schedules for Spravato treatment sessions.
- Facilitate prior authorizations for new patients.
- Ensure ongoing authorizations for current patients.
- Support technicians in patient care and manage medication orders from various pharmacies.
- Maintain compliance with REMS, DEA regulations, and medication log audits.
- Conduct audits of Spravato patient charts as necessary.
- Assist with Spravato consultations as required.
- Create a safe and therapeutic environment for daily treatment sessions.
- Perform administrative duties including answering phones, organizing the office, managing leads, reporting statistical activity, collecting copays, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA for medical records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, Medication Technician, or Nursing Assistant, with a preference for experience in medication authorizations.
- At least 2 years of experience in mental or behavioral health is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or a High School Diploma or Associate's degree with Medical Assistant certification/licensure and relevant experience.
- Experience with medical insurance is required.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience in administering controlled substances is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience with TMS and/or Spravato administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of billing software.
- Skills in clinical interviewing.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Experience working directly with medical doctors.
