HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing and completing patient paperwork, transporting patients to and from their rooms and ER, monitoring equipment for mechanical safety, explaining procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation, and positioning patients on examining tables and adjusting immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body requested by physicians.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Review and complete patient paperwork as required.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body requested by physicians.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH)/TMB license.
  • Current registration with ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Advanced certification in MRI required within 6 months of employment.
