El Enfermero Practicante Familiar proporcionará servicios avanzados de enfermería primaria y especializada. Este profesional llevará a cabo evaluaciones de salud de los pacientes, desarrollando estrategias para mejorar o gestionar la salud de los mismos, e introduciendo hábitos para la promoción de la salud. Se espera que esta posición atienda al menos dos pacientes por hora en tiempo de atención directa.

Funciones y Responsabilidades Esenciales del Enfermero Practicante Familiar:

  • Realizar exámenes físicos y observaciones de pacientes.
  • Registrar la historia clínica y los síntomas de los pacientes.
  • Crear planes de atención al paciente y contribuir a los existentes.
  • Solicitar, administrar y analizar pruebas diagnósticas.
  • Monitorear y operar equipos médicos.
  • Diagnosticar problemas de salud.
  • Administrar medicamentos y otros tratamientos.
  • Detectar cambios en la salud de los pacientes y modificar los planes de tratamiento según sea necesario.
  • Consultar con profesionales de la salud y familias.
  • Capacitar a los pacientes y sus familias para gestionar y prevenir enfermedades y lesiones.

Requisitos de Calificación

  • Título de maestría de un programa de enfermería acreditado.
  • Licencia en el Estado de Massachusetts y certificación por parte de ANCC o AANP.
  • Autorización para prescribir.
  • Experiencia en la prestación de atención primaria como Enfermero Practicante Familiar.
  • Conocimiento de programas de gestión de datos basados en computadora y sistemas de información, así como de registros médicos y tecnología de punto de entrevista.
  • Comprensión sólida de todas las regulaciones federales y estatales pertinentes, incluyendo HIPAA y OSHA.
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita.
  • Conocimiento sobre la prevención de enfermedades.
