Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team at Cummins, specializing in Power Generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators and components at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Engaging with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Applying specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims.
  • Participating in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies and reporting any issues or incidents to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • Experience with high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Ability to perform electrical repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Entry-level technician experience with a focus on maintenance and basic repairs.

Compensation and Benefits:

Cummins offers a competitive salary range of $30.21-$45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and Domestic Partners Coverage.

Requirements for the Role:

  • A current valid driver's license.
  • A 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
  • A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
  • 3 years of driving experience.
  • Subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations, including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.
